Responsibilities
* To undertake all Quantity Surveying duties on your contracts.
* To direct and control all financial and legal aspects of your construction contract ensuring that it is profitable.
* To be aware of the company's business plan and its aims.
* To establish, maintain, and enhance effective working relationships with the client and all members of the client's team.
* Prepare any loss and expense claims arising from extension of time claims.
* Ensure all subcontractors are on the approved list.
* Work with the contract team to manage the design on a design‑and‑build contract with a view to ensuring that changes are made for the financial benefit of the company.
* Work with the team to ensure that the request for information schedule includes financial and legal elements.
* Establish a procurement strategy, with a procurement schedule in line with the time requirements of the operational and design deliverables for the project.
Desirable Experience
* A very high level of commercial awareness of the industry.
* Good knowledge of building law, the law of contract and statutory requirements.
* Understanding of financial management.
* Minimum of two years experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor.

* Good organisational and presentation skills.
* General business awareness, a practical mind and sound judgement.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
