As a 3rd Line Technical Professional, you play a critical role in protecting our customers' infrastructure and reputation by providing BT’s highest level of technical expertise. You will be at the heart of our “Cloud of Clouds” strategy—ensuring customers can connect securely and seamlessly to the data and applications they need, wherever they are in the world.
This role supports BT’s Digital Global Services strategy, focused on delivering scalable, repeatable solutions with outstanding customer service and market-leading security. You’ll be essential in helping us become a more agile, customer-focused, and predictable business by supporting end-to-end customer experiences, driving simplified systems and processes, and contributing to trusted relationships.
What You’ll be Doing:
* Provide onsite 3rd line technical expertise while supporting and protecting LBG’s large enterprise network. Understand and collate customer requirements and challenges, then act on them using your expertise to provide the best service possible.
* Collaborate with customer and BT technical teams in supporting new and existing technology infrastructure, including design, implementation, diagnostics, and projects.
* Manage and work independently with external 3rd party suppliers and customer stakeholders where necessary.
* Mentor and support 1st/2nd technical teams and other relevant parties within the wider community, including project managers and senior management.
* Maintain excellent relationship management skills when dealing with customers, 3rd parties, and internal colleagues.
* Lead collaborative working and continuous improvement initiatives, encouraging their adoption to deliver optimal results for the customer.
* Demonstrate subject matter expertise in complex, technical infrastructure, products, and services, providing solutions to meet customer needs.
* Strong customer communication and relationship management skills (customer-facing experience mandatory).
* Cisco CCNP or equivalent professional experience.
What we'd like to see on your CV:
* 5-10 years of networking experience on large enterprise networks of 100+ nodes.
* Experience in data centre/large enterprise environments covering WAN, LAN, Security, Cloud, Wireless, Automation, Voice, and NetOps.
* Experience troubleshooting large enterprise networks with various vendors.
* Designing and deploying network fixes to resolve service issues.
* Salary: Competitive + Benefits, with a 10% on-target bonus.
