The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to take ownership of capital and services procurement across a broad supplier base. This role will focus on managing supplier performance, leading sourcing activities, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services to meet business requirements.
You will act as a key interface between internal stakeholders and external suppliers, driving best practice procurement processes and delivering measurable value.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage new and existing suppliers for indirect procurement (capital and expense items), ensuring performance across cost, quality, and delivery
* Lead procurement activities for services such as catering, occupational health, and training
* Source, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers while negotiating commercial terms
* Create, negotiate, and maintain purchase agreements including KPIs and SLAs
* Lead tendering and RFQ processes for goods and services
* Manage multiple e-procurement portals
* Handle supplier account and invoice queries
* Use SAP for order processing, reporting, and invoice management
* Oversee the creation and maintenance of PIRs and source lists for consumables
* Conduct Monthly Service Reviews (MSR) and Supplier Business Reviews (SBR)
Key Skills
* Minimum 5+ years' experience in purchasing/procurement
* Strong knowledge of contracts and commercial terms
* Proven negotiation and supplier management experience
* Experience using SAP or similar procurement systems
* Strong stakeholder management skills across multiple business functions
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight deadlines
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Proactive, team-oriented, and able to work independently
