Overview
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Cambridgeshire.
Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN / SEND, as well as other needs such as SEMH. We work with children and young people with MLD and SLD, and support tutors who provide 1:1 tutoring in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed approach to raise engagement and improve educational journeys.
At Targeted Provision our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. You will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Support referred young people by providing flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver holistic, engaging sessions that meet needs and advance educational and social-emotional development
* Complete lesson reports and provide progress feedback
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS/QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, and other needs
* Understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance with cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* UK-based with right to work in the UK (remote work allowed)
It is a strict requirement that you promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies at all times.
Employment Status
* Engagement as a Worker for short-term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service and PAYE payment
* No fixed amount of work or expenses coverage
* Insurance coverage for your work
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
