Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (KS1)
Location: Preston
Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 3:30pm

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in Preston, supporting children within Key Stage 1 who require additional support. Several children you will be working with have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in place, and you will play a vital role in helping them access the curriculum and thrive in school.
The Role:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with additional needs.
* Assist with classroom activities, ensuring all pupils can engage and progress.
* Implement strategies in line with children’s EHCPs and liaise with the class teacher and SENCO.
* Encourage independence, positive behaviour, and emotional wellbeing.
* Support with both academic and social development.
Requirements:
* Previous experience supporting children or adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in either an education or care setting.
* Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
* Ability to adapt support to meet individual needs.
* A commitment to promoting inclusion and learning for all children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
