Job Purpose: Our Customer Service & Purchasing Administrator will be responsible for leading the execution of the company-wide strategy development and implementation at the regional level for the following operational areas: Supplier Development and Ongoing Supplier Management, Cost Structure Management, Supply Chain Development and Project Management for key account opportunities. This role works closely with the local Account Project Managers and the Strategic Accounts team to develop, plan, and implement the strategies required to satisfy customer requirements through leveraged buying and in-region sourcing. Job Responsibilities: ● Record, process and confirm orders and/or inquiries received by email, phone, mail and/or personal customer contact for several key accounts. Track and expedite order activity and alerts customers or any potential problems. ● Provide pricing, availability and schedule information with established guidelines. ● Serve as a communication link between customers and sales staff to assure responsiveness. ● Create purchasing plans to meet the needs of each location/division of identified Strategic Accounts. ● Work with the Account Project Manager, Sales Representative, and/or Strategic Accounts Director to tailor programs specifically for each account. ● Research product lines, prices, product sources, and other relevant purchasing information. Evaluate research findings and makes decisions on procurement matters. ● Identify strategic sourcing opportunities and manage the supply base to achieve established total cost savings target. ● Ensure price increases are accurate and communicated as needed, and make changes as necessary and appropriate. ● Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, increase turnaround times, streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly, to provide quality seamless customer service. ● Establish and manage preferred and certified supplier relationships, working towards implementing a Supplier Management Program. ● Perform other duties as requested. Work Experience: ● 5-10 years of related job experience.
