Learning Support Assistant – Secondary Schools (Bolton)

We are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to work full-time in secondary schools across Bolton from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students who may need additional help with their learning, both academically and emotionally.
* Provide 1-1 and small group support to students with additional needs
* Help students access the curriculum and stay engaged in lessons
* Support class teachers with classroom activities and behaviour management
* Adapt learning materials to suit the needs of individual pupils
* Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Work closely with SENCOs and pastoral teams to implement support plans
* Someone with a caring and proactive approach
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience working with young people (school, youth work, tutoring, etc.)
* An interest in education, SEND or youth support
* Reliability and a genuine desire to make a difference
This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or those with a background in care or support work who are looking to step into a school-based role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
