Description
If you're looking to grow your conveyancing career in a supportive and collaborative environment, this could be the role for you. Join our Storrington team as a Conveyancing Paralegal and help guide clients smoothly through their property transactions.
As a Conveyancing Paralegal at Mayo Wynne Baxter, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting property transactions. Working under the supervision of legal advisers, you’ll handle all aspects of conveyancing, from managing client matters and liaising with third parties to conducting land registry searches and assisting with contract preparation and post-exchange work.
What you will be doing:
* Support with a wide range of property work, including but not limited to completing initial contract packs, drafting sale contracts, submitting stamp duty land tax returns, and making applications to the Land Registry for Residential Property clients.
* Handle post-completion work, including payment of Stamp Duty Land Tax, registration, discharge of mortgage and estate agent fees, service of relevant notices, taking out indemnity policies, and scheduling Deeds.
* Attend client meetings, handle legal reporting work, and manage progress inquiries from clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers/financial advisers, and colleagues in other departments.
What you will need:
* Experience in a similar Paralegal position.
* A positive and friendly manner in dealing with clients, referrers, and colleagues.
* Ability to manage workload and know when to request additional input.
* Ability to provide excellent client service.
* A high degree of initiative and resilience in a demanding environment.
* Excellent organisational and prioritising skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a busy team.
* Excellent communication skills.
