Outside IR35 Our client has a requirement for a Construction Manager, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Northwich. Role Purpose: To oversee and manage onshore construction activities on a live site, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of multi-disciplinary work scopes. The role is critical to maintaining construction standards and site safety within a chemical process environment. Job Role Responsibilities: Act as Principal Contractor under CDM regulations. Lead on-site construction activities across mechanical, civil, and EC&I disciplines. Coordinate with design teams and manage subcontractors. Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and client requirements. Support package procurement and manage interfaces with stakeholders. Oversee quality assurance, schedule adherence, and cost control. Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications: Strong UK onshore construction management experience within Chemical, Petrochemical, or Pharmaceutical sectors (essential). Mechanical bias; experience with EC&I is highly desirable. Proven track record managing multi-discipline teams and working in Principal Contractor capacity. Valid CCNSG or CSCS card. Ideally SMSTS and/or NEBOSH qualified. Strong capability in subcontractor oversight, design development, HSE compliance, and stakeholder management.
