Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader to join us at our cold store site in Lowestoft. As a Warehouse Team Leader, you’ll provide leadership and guidance for your warehouse team, ensuring that the team have all the tools they need to do their role and that the operation runs smoothly. The site is a 24/7 operation. This is a freezer environment, so will be a bit chilly!
This is a full-time, permanent position, working a 4 on, 2 off shift pattern, rotating over 2 days of 06:00 to 18:00 and 2 nights of 18:00 to 06:00. However, there is a peak period for pea processing season of July to end of August, where these hours will be worked in full. However, out of peak season when rostered on day shift, Saturday night and Sundays are paid for but not worked, bit of a bonus!
Responsibilities:
* Lead your team in a fast-paced operation in a freezer environment
* Support with all 1-2-1’s and appraisals
* Support the shift manager with engaging with the team and reacting to the varying workloads
* Lead the team on health & safety, showing good working practices, as you’ll be responsible for keeping all our operational processes fully compliant whilst keeping your people safe
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* Previous warehouse experience, ideally in a cold environment with ability to work effectively under pressure
* MHE Experience would be a plus
* IT Literate – Good understanding of Cotruk System, Microsoft Office Packages
* Able to manage and communicate at all levels with willingness to accept responsibility and take actions
