Job Description:
The role
The role will involve short-term travel across the UK depending on client and project sites as required.
Typically, you will undertake the following:
1. Developing the consenting strategy for major energy infrastructure projects;
2. Leading on client and partner communications for individual projects;
3. Leading multidisciplinary teams, alongside an EIA Project Manager, to complete development consent applications;
4. Working alongside others (Project Director, Project Controller) to manage and maintain the multi-million-pound project budgets;
5. Identifying and escalating key risks, decisions, and issues to the Project Director and client with recommendations for management;
6. Taking responsibility for the quality of NSIP deliverables to ensure standards are met;
7. Interfacing with project stakeholders including engineers, land agents, consultation specialists, and lawyers;
8. Developing relationships with external stakeholders such as local planning authorities, the Planning Inspectorate, and statutory consultees.

* Excellent knowledge of the NSIP consenting regime, including relevant legislation and policies;
* Strong client management skills and ability to develop high-level relationships;
* Experience in winning and delivering new work through existing and new contacts;
* Leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams;
* Expertise in stakeholder engagement; and
* Attention to detail in delivering high-standard consenting documentation.
