Job Title: Engineering Technician
Reporting to: Site Manager
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 06:00 – 14:00 & 14:00 – 22:00, Rotating weekly
Salary: Market Rate
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Engineering Technician to join our Engineering Team at our manufacturing site in Needham, Norfolk.
As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for delivering preventative, corrective, and reactive support to the operations team across all site assets and infrastructure, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Complete designated preventative maintenance tasks
2. React to and repair unforeseen breakdowns
3. Identify potential failures, plan, and execute corrective maintenance
4. Identify engineering or operational solutions to recurring failures
5. Implement and complete resolutions
What We’re Looking For
1. High levels of health and safety awareness
2. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
3. Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, mechanical power systems, and the ability to interpret and amend technical, mechanical, and electrical drawings
4. Problem-solving attitude
5. Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering-related subject, ideally Mechatronics
6. Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous
