Based in the Research and Knowledge Exchange Directorate, you will coordinate the administrative support provided to academic colleagues developing applications for external research funding. This will include developing budgets, managing the submission process, and acting as the first point of contact for academic queries around research governance.
What will the Role involve?
We are seeking someone with experience of providing excellent administrative support, ideally within a Higher Education setting or equivalent. You will support a diverse portfolio of research funding applications. This will include navigating applications to a variety of sponsors, for example Research Councils, Charities, Government Departments and the European Commission.
You will also work on awareness raising around research governance, ensuring that the necessary checks and licenses are in place to comply with internal and external due diligence and governance policies. The role will involve building relationships with academics across the University, in order to support the creation of research applications in line with funders expectations, the Universitys funding application submission processes, and relevant governance policies and legislative framework.
You will work with colleagues from all areas of Research and Knowledge Exchange, particularly other members of the Research Culture, Development and Environment team, to add value to activities across research development and planning.
