Alternative Saturday morning @ overtime - time and a half
As an HGV technician, you will be joining our Service & Workshop team at our Volvo Truck and Bus Centre. You will ensure repairs are carried out according to Volvo’s standards, including working on systems involving alternative fuels such as LNG, hybrid, and full electric vehicles.

Who are you?
Skills/Qualifications
* City and Guilds, NVQ3, or equivalent qualification required
* Completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry or have equivalent experience in the commercial vehicle industry
* Basic knowledge of computer software including Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Basic working knowledge of vehicle technology
What will you do?
* Carry out repairs according to manufacturer’s procedures, safely and responsibly
* Use Volvo Standard Times and Volvo Special Tools where appropriate
* Assist in fault diagnosis
* Follow warranty procedures and complete warranty material
* Assist with roadside breakdowns and Action Service Europe when required
* Work with the Parts Team to ensure correct parts are fitted
* Road test vehicles if holding an HGV license
* Record time and complete job cards accurately
* Report vehicle defects to workshop controllers
* Maintain workshop facilities, equipment, and tools
* Support the development of trainees and apprentices
