The VIE program is destinated to young professionals below 28 years old.
The VIE - Export Control within Safran Helicopter Engines in UK (Fareham), is critical in supporting the organisation's compliance with international trade laws and regulations.
The role's purpose is to develop and oversee a comprehensive export control framework that safeguards the company against risks associated with global trade.
Ensure compliance with all export control regulations by focusing on 3 main projects, whilst supporting the Export Control Officer & Deputy Export Control Officer in the daily operations surrounding Export Control.
Complementary Description
Focus on 3 keys Projects:
•Develop an improved database of all controlled parts and applicable export control licences and undertakings. With the objective ease of reference for licence checks and management of licence and undertaking validity.
•Data cleanse of SAP Export Control Licences, and processes ensuring that procedures are well documented.
•Support ECO & DECO on daily Export Control management:
oIn communication & KPI reporting to Corporate Export Control Team
oEnsuring all SHE UK employees are aware of their obligations with regards to Export Control and provide regular training on export control
oSupport with Export Control applications and provide prompt notice to operational and logistics team
Job Requirements
Competencies•Strong understanding of export control regulations
•Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
•Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders.
•Ability to analyse complex regulations and translate them into actionable guidelines.
•Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve compliance and logistical challenges.
Experience•Proven experience in export control management, ideally within a multinational environment.
•Experience in interpreting and applying export laws and regulations.
•Familiarity with international trade compliance.
•Compliance and Regulation: Experience in ensuring operations meet regulatory standards, specifically with regard to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) legislation and airworthiness authority regulations.
•Process Improvement: Ability to review, develop, and enhance procedures to align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
•Problem Solving: Experience in identifying issues, analysing root causes, and developing effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
