GSL Education are looking for a reliable Cover Supervisor to work across schools in Worksop (S81). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people and can maintain a calm, productive learning atmosphere when teachers are absent.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will deliver pre-prepared lessons, keep pupils focused, and ensure the class follows the planned activities. You will oversee a range of subjects, helping students stay on task and managing behaviour in line with school expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver pre-set lessons across different subjects.
* Maintain orderly classroom conduct and encourage positive behaviour.
* Support students with their work and offer guidance when needed.
* Follow school procedures to ensure consistency across all lessons.
* Provide feedback to the teaching team regarding pupil engagement.
* Promote a safe and respectful learning environment at all times.
Requirements:
* A degree-level qualification or previous experience in UK schools.
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
* Confidence supervising groups of secondary students.
* A proactive and flexible approach to working in different settings.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A genuine interest in supporting students’ learning.
