The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Lecturer of Economics to join a dynamic Business & Technology department within a well-established Further Education college.
This is an excellent opportunity to deliver A Level Economics alongside modules up to Level 5, within a supportive and forward‑thinking environment that embraces digital and blended learning.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging teaching across A Level Economics and related programmes (Level 1-5)
* Plan and prepare lessons aligned with awarding body standards
* Monitor student progress, set targets, and support achievement
* Deliver blended learning using digital platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams)
* Provide pastoral support and guidance to learners
* Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and attainment
* Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
* Participate in open days, enrolment, and student recruitment activities
About You
* Degree in Economics or a related subject
* Experience teaching A Level / Level 3 Economics
* Strong understanding of teaching, learning & assessment in FE or Sixth Form
* Confident using digital tools and blended learning approaches
* Teaching qualification (PGCE / Cert Ed / Level 5) or willingness to work towards
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
