Kennedys is looking for a Legal Administrator to join the Liability Defence division in our Financial Lines and Political Risks team based in London.
Team
Kennedys Financial Lines and Political Risks team handle a vast range of insurance disputes and litigation, with a particular focus on Financial Institutions, Directors & Officers Insurance, and Political Risks and Crime coverage. Our clients include general insurers and reinsurers, global composites, Lloyd's syndicates, self-insured PLCs and self-insuring government bodies.
Key responsibilities
1. Deal accurately with filing - storage and retrieval of client files in line with the department's filing system and locating missing files
2. Operate the Firm's quality procedures and information security systems as specified in the current edition of the Quality Procedures
3. Ensure the confidentiality and security of all practice and client's documentation and/or information
4. Undertake file closure and archiving when required
5. Use the photocopying equipment to achieve copies of the correct standard in line with the Firm's and department's requirements
Additional responsibilities
6. Assist with postal duties in the morning and in an evening
7. Carry out local by hand deliveries
8. Deal with administrative requirements in relation to files for all members of the team
9. Entering and updating key data to case management systems – contacts, court details/dates and tasks
10. Adopt a proactive approach at all times
11. Preparation for signature of all correspondence and documentation
12. Contribute to the provision of the teams working practices and systems
13. Use the photocopying equipment to achieve copies of the correct standard in line with the Firm's and department requirements
14. Faxing, scanning and printing documents
15. E-Filing
16. General administrative and selective tasks
17. Undertake any other duties which from time to time may be allocated.
