About the team
Information Management governs the collection and processing of information within the Force, ensuring compliance with national legislation such as the Data Protection Act. Audits verify that information held is necessary, proportionate, relevant and legal, supporting independent scrutiny of how the Force manages information, especially regarding national systems.
About the role
To be responsible for auditing and validating transactions entered onto Force and national databases, ensuring access was for legitimate policing purposes, and that data quality and accuracy are of a high standard. The Auditor will make recommendations for action where errors are identified. The Force Systems Auditor will contribute to the development of internal processes and build good working relationships with Police Officers and external agencies. The successful applicant will work independently while adhering to force policies and national guidelines.

* Produce reports
* Organise and complete the allocated audit plan
* Collate and produce statistical information
