P&O Ferries are recruiting for a number of Customer Operations Supervisors (Vessel) in Hull.
In this role you will be part of a team that effectively supervise vessel operations ensuring the highest level of safety and security is achieved. As a Customer Operations Supervisor you will support the management team to deliver a customer focused vessel operations service to our Freight/Tourist customers.
This role will include a shift pattern (12 hour shifts) including weekends and week days with an average of 42 hours per week.
Key responsibilities:
* Effectively supervise vessel operations
* To ensure the highest level of safety and security is always achieved.
* To ensure all incidents, accidents, damage is correctly managed, reported and investigated in a timely manner and reported in DP World HSEAS application
* In conjunction with Training, H&S Co-Ordinator and PDMs, carry out regular H&S/operational audits and report via the DP World HSEAS application
* To support Port Duty Managers in continually reviewing operations with a view to achieving continuous improvement to optimise efficiency and utilisation.
* Liaise with vessel officers regarding loading plans and segregation of hazardous freight/plug ins and vessel maintenance including vessel housekeeping i.e., lashing equipment in the appropriate areas
About you:
* To have demonstrated competence or knowledge in all port related duties
* Effective knowledge of all P&O Ferries procedures including Safe Systems of work
* Effective communication skills
* Ability to work in an organised manner, keeping appropriate records
* Good leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
* To hold a valid UK driving licence
