Job Description:
Happy Energy Solutions Ltd is expanding its team and seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Retrofit Business Development Officer to lead engagement with local authorities and social housing providers. This role is crucial in advancing energy efficiency initiatives and establishing strong partnerships to support carbon-saving projects across communities.

Responsibilities include:
* Act as the main contact for local authorities and social housing providers within a designated area.
* Promote HESL’s offerings, including ECO funding, HEATflex, local HEAT websites, and carbon-saving solutions.
* Advise stakeholders on funding and energy efficiency measures.
* Develop and maintain partnerships with charities, community groups, and housing providers.
* Plan and deliver community engagement events supporting carbon reduction.
Support project implementation, funding applications, reporting, and produce outcome tracking reports.
Qualifications include:
* Experience in stakeholder engagement, especially with local authorities or housing providers.
* Knowledge of carbon reduction strategies, ECO/HEATflex schemes, and funding.
* Strong communication skills.
* Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
* Experience with community programs and event attendance.
* Organizational and reporting skills.
* Charity or community group experience (desirable).
* Knowledge of local government frameworks and funding cycles.
* Environmental sciences or energy management qualification (desirable).
Location: Hybrid, home-based within proximity to London and the South East. Regular travel to meetings in London, the South East, and occasionally further afield.
