The role
We are currently seeking a dedicated Tyre Operative to join our team. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the Tyre Operative will play a crucial role in our recycling operations by operating machinery to compress and bail scrap tyres. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and a commitment to achieving daily targets.
Skills & experience

Licenses or Certifications
* Desirable: Forklift/Telehandler license as appropriate.
Key accountabilities
* Assist in unloading scrap tyre casings from vehicles.
* Conduct visual checks to ensure tyres are free of contamination.
* Operate machinery and equipment according to procedures.
* Use forklift to load bails onto trailers for collection.
* Maintain and clean machinery for optimal performance.
* Adhere to health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
* Collaborate with team members to achieve targets.
* Provide feedback for continuous improvement initiatives.
* Gain thorough knowledge of machinery operations.

We are the UK's largest tyre collector and processor with national coverage.
