Digital Activator, Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts
Ref: SC4891
Salary on appointment will be £31,236 per annum, with an annual increment up to £37,694 per annum.
The Sainsbury Centre is a world‑class art museum with a unique perspective on how art can foster cultural dialogue and exchange, formally recognising the living lifeforce of art and enabling people to build relationships across an arts landscape.
Home to a global collection of artworks spanning 6,000 years of human imagination and creative power, our curators collaborate with artists to explore the most important questions people have in their lives such as What is Truth? and How Do We Find Love? It is not a museum to only learn more about artists, cultures or movements like Francis Bacon, the Tang Dynasty or Modernism; it is a place of experience, where collections are animate and visitors are invited to form a personal relationship with art.
In 1973, Sir Robert and Lady Lisa Sainsbury donated their world‑class art collection to the University of East Anglia (UEA) in Norwich. It has become one of the most sought‑after art collections, welcoming over 1 million visitors a year.
Key responsibilities for the Digital Activator include:
* Propose and develop innovative digital collection‑based projects across the Sainsbury Centre art landscape, including AI, 3D modelling, and virtual experiences.
* Take responsibility for onsite coordination and completion of digital projects and liaise with stakeholders to ensure successful completion.
* Maintain digital collection‑based installations, liaising with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure a high‑quality visitor experience.
* Stay abreast of current trends in cultural sector digital resources across innovation, asset management, learning and research.
Qualifications:
* Experience in digital content development in the cultural sector.
* Awareness of current trends in digital resources for cultural institutions.
* Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
