The Role We’re looking for a hands-on, data-driven CRM expert who can quickly get up to speed, deliver impact, and bring fresh ideas. This is the role for you if: You have extensive experience setting up lifecycle marketing campaigns from scratch, including testing and optimisation strategies You’re comfortable with the hands-on elements of CRM — building emails with drag-and-drop tools, writing copy, and managing automations end to end. You have a strong understanding of CRM data set-ups and technical aspects of lifecycle platforms. You’re well-versed in best practices across deliverability, segmentation, personalisation, and mobile and dark mode optimisation. You’re adaptable, thrive in dynamic environments, and enjoy working in small, mission-led teams. Job Requirements Based in the UK (remote with flexible hours) Available for a minimum 3-month contract (full-time preferred, but open to discussing part-time availability with the right candidate), with immediate start Proven experience managing CRM platforms (Iterable preferred, but experience with similar tools such as Klaviyo, HubSpot, or Braze is also welcome). Demonstrated ability to set up and optimise CRM email automations including practical experience with Iterable handlebars or similar dynamic template language Freelance experience across multiple start-ups/scale-ups, with a track record of getting up to speed quickly and delivering results. Analytical mindset with the ability to track and report on CRM performance Strong copywriting skills for email and ability to generate creative messaging ideas. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently. Nice-to-haves Iterable platform familiarity Experience migrating email flows from one ESP to another EdTech or freemium product experience Job Responsibilities Over the 3-month contract, you’ll support our Senior CRM Manager by taking ownership of CRM projects and execution. Immediate priorities (depending on start date and project progress): Support the migration of email automations from ActiveCampaign to Iterable. Set up control groups, A/B tests, and optimisation frameworks aligned with new messaging and product features. Implement personalised content using Iterable handlebars to dynamically adjust content, copy, and CTAs based on user data. Ongoing responsibilities: Plan, build, and optimise lifecycle automations for student and teacher audiences to drive free-to-paid conversion and engagement of paid members. Manage the end-to-end execution, analysis and optimising of campaigns including copywriting, email building, automation building, reporting and analysis ensuring we are delivering campaigns that add value to our student and teacher users. Propose creative ideas for new automations, campaign angles, and segmentation strategies Monitor deliverability and performance, implementing best practices for compliance and optimisation Job Benefits ~£8k -£10k per month (£400-£500 per day) depending on experience & skills 3-month freelance contract, with a view to extending for the right candidate Process Here’s an overview of our process, so that you know what to expect.
