What the role involves This is not a sales role – there are no targets and no commission. This is true account management, where the focus is on building relationships and ensuring the smooth running of high-value customer accounts. You’ll be responsible for either 3–4 accounts each worth £100–300k per annum or one to two accounts with a value in excess of £1m per annum, so as an Account Manager, you’ll be trusted with major clients from day one. A typical week might involve: * Taking full ownership of your client accounts and being their go-to person for all requirements. * Building strong, lasting relationships with luxury brands and major retailers. * Managing the entire “critical path” from design through manufacturing to delivery, ensuring everything stays on track. * Using data and reports to monitor account performance and spot potential risks or improvements. * Handling budgets, timelines and quality standards with a methodical, analytical approach. A successful Account Manager will combine these skills with excellent admin and reporting abilities. * Liaising with internal design, production and logistics teams to make sure every detail is executed flawlessly. * Delivering proactive solutions and ideas that add value to each account. * This would suit someone who thrives on variety, takes pride in their organisational skills, and enjoys managing relationships with high-profile brands.
