Empowering Learning is working with a number of partner Secondary Schools in Sheffield and surrounding areas, and we are looking to take on new and experienced Cover Supervisors to cover on a day to day, part time and full-time basis.\n\nAre you a graduate looking to gain classroom experience?\n\nAre you looking to pursue a teaching career and wanting to gain experience and knowledge?\n\nDo you have experience assisting a Teacher, and feel like you have the knowledge, professionalism and personality work as a cover supervisor?\n\nWhat is a Cover Supervisor?\n\nA cover supervisor, supervises a class when a regular teacher is absent, ensuring students complete pre-prepared work and maintaining classroom order. The role is not to teach, but to manage student behaviour and help them stay on task with the work provided by the teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with experience working with young people to gain hands-on experience in the classroom.\n\nAs a Cover Supervisor, you will:\n\nDeliver pre-set lessons and supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher\nManage classroom behaviour and ensure pupils remain engaged with the work provided\nProvide support to students as needed and liaise with teaching staff\nReport back to staff on behaviour and progress \n\nIdeal skills and attributes\n\nStrong
