Mental Health Support Worker - Driver
Location: WR2 4DZ
Base pay range
£12.40 per hour
Full‑time: 42 hours per week. Shifts: Days.
Responsibilities
* Support people with disabilities, including those with profound and complex needs, using person‑centred approaches to enable positive outcomes as defined in their support plan.
* Basic daily duties, including medication administration, cooking, cleaning and paperwork.
* Provide emotional and practical support.
* Support people in our care to access community facilities and be included in community groups.
* Build robust relationships with the people in our care to promote independence and improve quality of life.
* Empower the people in our care to learn new skills or pursue hobbies and interests.
Person Specifications
* Experience within the care industry, including ICDs or equivalent (essential).
* Previous experience supporting people with mental health conditions, complex care needs and challenging behaviours.
* Driving licence (essential).
* Must have mental health experience.
* Ability to multi‑task.
* Good time‑management, organisation, attention to detail and flexibility.
* IT literate.
* A positive ‘can‑do’ attitude.
* Good communication skills.
* Compassionate, caring, positive personality.
* Genuine passion for making a real difference in people’s lives.
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour and conflict.
* Works well as part of a team as well as individually.
