** Background
The School of Communication and Creativity brings together our renowned Department of Journalism with two new Departments of Media, Culture and Creative Industries and Performing Arts. The School will support and develop the next generation of practitioners to work across the cultural, creative and media sectors.
The Department of Performing Arts includes courses in Music, Music, Sound and Technology to professional dance and musical theatre. The department brings together the prestigious musical theatre training provider, Urdang, with our renowned Department of Music which has been a part of City's fabric for more than 45 years.
** Responsibilities The Course Officer is responsible for managing the operation and administration of the course(s) within the Department of Performing Arts (Music/Urdang). They will ensure the provision of an efficient and professional service. The duties will include: general course administration, handling queries, maintaining and assisting with: student records, attendance, induction activities, Moodle modules/VLE, assessment administration, personal timetables and extra-curricular events.
** Person Specification Candidates will need to have excellent organisational and IT skills, an ability to plan and manage workloads, exceptional communication skills and experience of working in a busy administrative role.
