We are looking for a Senior F&DT Engineer to join the A300/A310 Wing Structures Engineering team. This role involves supporting the Chief Engineers Office and in-service fleet, handling operator requests, leading investigations, and supporting modifications. You will provide leadership in delivering approved design data, working closely with the design office and stakeholders including Airworthiness and Maintenance Engineering. Opportunities to develop your skills and work on other Airbus programs like A320, A330, and A380 are available.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
1. Be the Focal point for A300/A310 F&DT and Static Stress queries, supporting operators and authorities with pragmatic engineering judgment.
2. Scope and manage F&DT activities internally or subcontracted.
3. Update F&DT Calculations / Justification reports based on in-service data and investigations.
4. Develop towards delegated approval and signatory authority for A300/A310 Wing F&DT.
5. Lead In-service Continued Airworthiness investigations.
6. Ensure consistency with other Programmes and stress teams in France and Germany.
7. Report critical issues to the Chief Engineers Office.
Ideal candidates will have experience in Fatigue & Damage Tolerance, preferably on Wing Design, and be capable of understanding F&DT calculations and processes confidently. You should be curious, autonomous, and open-minded, with leadership experience in guiding less experienced engineers and managing subcontracted activities. If not already an F&DT signatory and Airworthiness RO Level 2, you will be expected to develop these within 6 months. Strong communication skills are essential to liaise with various stakeholders and ensure a consistent approach across teams.
