Overview
We seek innovative architects who can lead projects from concept to delivery, manage a small team of assistants, and inspire professional growth. The role offers opportunities to work nationally and globally, focusing on client‑facing collaboration.
Responsibilities
* Lead design and technical leadership for major projects.
* Manage and inspire a small team, fostering inclusive leadership.
* Sustain and develop client relationships.
* Produce pragmatic design responses respecting context, climate, and culture.
* Develop designs rooted in a strong narrative to enhance our reputation.
* Provide design leadership and technical oversight.
* Report on project activity, analysing feedback and success factors.
* Drive development of design culture and capability across the multidisciplinary team.
About You
* RIBA Part 3 qualification with ARB registration. Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction types.
* Proven track record across multiple sectors—preferably Education, Health, Defence, Residential and Public.
* Ability to manage projects from concept through detailed design to completion; Accredited Conservation Architect preferred but not essential.
* Skilled in Revit, Adobe Suite, Enscape or V‑Ray, AutoCAD, with familiarity of NBS specification and UK construction methodologies.
* Experience delivering projects of varying scale and complexity, managing roles, packages, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Strong ability to prepare high‑quality design deliverables and present effectively to clients and stakeholders.
* Support and coach junior staff, driving design quality and contributing to team development.
* Organised, detail‑oriented, efficient under pressure, flexible, self‑motivated, collaborative, and passionate about design excellence.
* Proven ability to develop client relationships, secure new business, and lead bids to support market growth.
* Actively involved in successful delivery of secured projects and proactive in supporting studio leadership.
