We are committed to providing outstanding support for our students to help them overcome the challenges of modern life that prevent them from engaging fully with their learning. From providing mindfulness activities and specialist support groups to bespoke support delivered 1:1, wellbeing team tailors its responses to the ever-changing demands of our student community.
Under the direction of the Head of Wellbeing and working with wider colleagues from faculty and learning support services, you will provide a point of contact for staff and students alike for safeguarding and wellbeing matters. You will deliver support and information to students who are struggling in order remove barriers that are preventing them from getting the most out of their learning. Wellbeing practitioners deliver brief solution-focused interventions to students who present in crisis. In addition, they deliver 1:1 sessions, small group workshops and bespoke support to students.
We’re looking for someone who is:
-Compassionate, empathetic, and student-centred
-Able to stay calm and professional in a fast-paced environment, whilst faced with a wide range of complex student needs
-Positive, proactive, and eager to make a difference in a young people’s lives
-The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they have a positive and “can-do” attitude towards teenagers and mature students alike.
