Are you an experienced surveyor passionate about improving housing standards? Do you want to play a key role in shaping our investment strategy? If so, we want to hear from you
As a Stock Condition Surveyor, you will be responsible for assessing the condition of council homes and associated assets, ensuring they meet the Decent Homes Standard and comply with Health and Safety regulations. Your findings will guide the Capital Investment Programme and help us provide excellent services to our residents using a survey data led Asset Management Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
:
Conduct comprehensive stock condition surveys and update the council's system.
:
Assess and report on the age and lifespan of key building components (e.g., roofs, windows, kitchens, and bathrooms).
:
Carry out Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) inspections and ensure Category 1 hazards are promptly addressed.

Conduct energy efficiency surveys to support the council's sustainability goals.
:
Validate data provided by external surveyors and ensure information integrity.

Prepare reports with diagnoses of defects and recommend remedial actions.

Develop specifications for small projects (up to GBP 100k).

Role Specific Qualifications:
You will have a degree or diploma in Building Surveying, Construction, or a related field.
