Job Description
Deliver quality education to assigned pupils and contribute to the professional, corporate life of the school in relation to pupils, staff, and external bodies within the agreements of the Local Negotiating Committee for Teachers and the Scottish Negotiating Committee for Teachers. This post is attached to a cluster, and flexible working across the cluster may be required for operational and service needs.
It is a 0.8 FTE post, currently based in the Junior School of Anna Ritchie Complex Needs Provision, sharing a class with a highly experienced teacher and support staff. Experience working with pupils with Additional Support Needs would be beneficial; however, training and support will be provided. The most important attribute is a desire to make a difference for our most complex learners.
This is a network post. Although the vacancy is for the Peterhead Network, the hours are currently allocated to Anna Ritchie Primary School, but you may be required to work within the Peterhead CSN.
The post holder must demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the service and the organization.

Requirements
This post involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If the candidate has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. The offer of employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.
