Alexander Steele are delighted to be working exclusively in partnership with a leading food manufacturing business that is looking to appoint an experienced Quality Manager to join their site in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager who is looking for a new challenge. The role: Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Quality Manager you will drive a culture of quality assurance, GMP and continuous improvement throughout the business. You will coordinate and maintain the activities required to ensure all food is safe, legal and meets exceptional quality standards for the business and customers. Management and development of the Quality team. Leading the HACCP team and be responsible for a the maintenance of the HACCP plan. Ensure the site is audit ready and the QMS is up to date at all times. Support with all BRC and 3rd party auditing. Completion of internal and traceability auditing and ensure corrective actions of all non-conformances in a timely manner. Management of the site calibration and pest control. Ensure robust quality checks are in place across the factory. Investigate complaints, product non-conformances and ensure that corrective actions are put in place in a timely manner. Ensure the business is complying with product labelling regulations. Completion of daily, weekly and monthly meetings and reporting as agreed with the Technical Manager. The candidate: At least 2 years experience in a Quality Management or Supervisory role in a food manufacturing environment A Food Science degree is desirable. HACCP level 3 and Food Safety level 3 Lead Auditor or equivalent experience Allergen & food labelling qualification. Excellent working knowledge of BRC.
