About the Role We are looking for compassionate and resilient Residential Support Workers to support children and young people aged 618 within a nurturing residential setting. The young people we support may present with challenging behaviours and a range of additional needs, including ADHD, autismand global developmental disorders. This role requires individuals who can provide consistent, trauma-informed care while building strong, positive relationships. You will play a vital role in creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment where each young person can develop, growand achieve their potential. Key Responsibilities Build meaningful and trusting relationships with children and young people Support daily routines, including mornings, education, activitiesand evening routines Promote independence, social skills, and emotional wellbeing Engage young people in activities and positive experiences Respond calmly and effectively to challenging behaviours Work as part of a team to provide consistent, high-quality care Support children with additional needs, including ADHD, autism and developmental delays Shift Patterns Shifts vary depending on the home usually long days between 10 - 15 hours Flexibility is essential Minimum of 25 hours per week Requirements A calm, patient, and resilient nature Ability to engage effectively with young people and build strong relationships Ability to manage challenging behaviours in a professional and supportive manner Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle Minimum 6 months experience working with children or young people (residential care, schools, youth work, SEN, family support or similar) Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one) Applicants must be aged 22 or over (due to insurance requirements) What We Offer Ongoing training and professional development Supportive team environment Opportunities to gain further qualifications and progress your career A rewarding role where you can make a lasting difference If you are passionate about supporting children and young people with diverse needs and want to be part of a dedicated team, we encourage you to apply.
