Role Summary
We are excited to offer a position for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 3 Rehab Support Worker to join our therapy team at the bed-based rehabilitation unit at Tiverton and District Community Hospital. Every day, you will make a significant difference in patients' lives by delivering high-quality care alongside your colleagues.
You will be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Doctors, ACPs, Nurses, and HCSWs.
Your responsibilities will include implementing rehabilitation plans with patients both individually and in groups, aiming to improve patient function and independence, support cognition, reduce deconditioning effects, and facilitate timely hospital discharge.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have an interest in community hospital rehabilitation, team working, falls prevention, and managing patients with various short- and long-term conditions. You will carry out treatment plans within your competencies or as delegated by registered staff.
This is a 12-month fixed-term post (maternity cover), working 17.5 hours per week, including weekends. For details of the working pattern, please contact us.
Clinical supervision will be provided by a qualified Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist, and we encourage peer support and offer learning and development opportunities.
Working Pattern: 17.5 hours per week. You will work a range of shifts, including short shifts and day shifts between 8 am and 8 pm. Weekend working is also required.
Depending on your shift pattern, you may receive additional enhancements to your pay.

Pay: The salary reflects the Agenda for Change 2025/6 rates, including a 3.6% pay award to be implemented later this year. If you join before the implementation, the pay will be backdated. Until then, pay is based on 2024/5 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2024/25 | NHS Employers).
This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months. NHS employees may consider this as a secondment opportunity.
