The role To manage a small patch of properties, while wholeheartedly and positively supporting and leading the Neighbourhood & Tenancy Officers and Advisor to professionally and compliantly deliver the Councils statutory housing and leaseholder services under the Housing Act and other relevant legislation. Support the Neighbourhood and Tenancy Team Leader in ensuring that all Neighbourhood and Tenancy Officers are delivering the requirements of their roles. Key Requirements To support the Neighbourhood and Tenancy Officers and Advisor day-to-day to ensure they are supported to deliver a high quality housing service to all our customer. Ensure all matters relating to the management of tenancies and leases are dealt with promptly, in accordance with legislation, policy, and procedure whilst ensuring a high degree of integrity and professional standards are always maintained. Support and assist the Team Leader in line managing the Neighbourhood & Tenancy Team. Take autonomy of decision making in ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that are legally compliant, customer focused with consideration of equality, diversity, understanding and respect for people and their personal circumstances. Skills & experience A minimum level 3 qualification related to housing management or social housing practices. At least three years demonstrable experience of working in Housing Services, preferably with one year at Senior Officer. In depth knowledge of housing legislation, regulation, and policy in relation to the provision of neighbourhood, tenancy, leaseholder and housing management services and its practical application.
