Our sight loss charity is seeking a dedicated and experienced part-time Bookkeeper/Admin Assistant to join our team. This is an office-based position for 15 hours per week. Our office is conveniently located close to Queensbury tube station. Responsibilities: - Maintain accurate financial records using Xero accounting software or similar. - Process and record expenses, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to internal policies - Assist with preparing monthly financial reports and reconciliations - Submit Gift Aid claims - Monitor cash-flow and forecasting spreadsheets - Liaise with external parties such as accountants and auditors as required - Provide general administrative support to the team, including filing, data entry, and answering phones - Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and achieve the charity's goals Requirements: - Previous experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role - Familiarity with Xero accounting software or similar - Knowledge of year-end accounts preparation preferred - Strong organisational and time management skills - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and/or Google Sheets and Google Docs - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Flexible approach to tasks as need arises - Commitment to maintaining confidentiality - As this is an office-based role, applicants will need to commute.
