Responsibilities
* Plan and implement cardiac non‑invasive diagnostic procedures without direct supervision, including the setting and monitoring of standards
* Provide specialist ECG and ambulatory monitoring training and act as departmental clinical educator to support the development of junior staff
* Take charge of the non‑invasive diagnostics area as required
* The cardiac physiologist shall act in such a manner as to justify public trust and confidence to safeguard the interest of individual patients
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and motivated Senior Cardiac Physiologist to join our friendly team, supporting our angiography and pacing lab to develop skills in CRM follow up and to take a senior role in ambulatory monitoring and exercise testing services. You will need to have excellent communication skills with the ability to work both as part of a team and independently, along with a sound knowledge of cardiac anatomy. The department offers a comprehensive range of non‑invasive investigations including ECGS, ambulatory monitoring and Physiologist‑led exercise tolerance tests. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery and organisation of these services.
Suitable applicants will have completed a BSc in Clinical Physiology (or equivalent) and be RCCP or AHCS registered, and have current experience in ambulatory monitoring and exercise testing as well as meeting the requirements detailed in the person specification and job description.
