Payroll Administrator - Fixed Term Contract ROLE: Payroll Clerk (FTC October 2025 to July 2026) SALARY: £29,764 per annum LOCATION: Great Barr (Hybrid 3 days office, 2 days home) THE COMPANY: A well-established organisation based in Great Barr is seeking a Payroll Clerk to join their friendly payroll team. Payroll Administrator Benifits: 30 days holiday plus bank holidays Government pension scheme Hybrid working 3 days in the office, 2 from home DBS check provided and paid for WORKING HOURS: 35 hours per week Monday Thursday: 8.50am 5.00pm Friday: 8.50am 4.10pm DUTIES: Support the payroll team in processing monthly payroll for around 1,000 employees (both salaried and hourly-paid staff) Input hours and ensure accuracy of payroll data Double-check, reconcile and extract payroll information Process expenses (multiple runs per month) Assist with the transition to a new payroll system (MHR) in April 2026 Work collaboratively within a small payroll team of three THE CANDIDATE: Previous payroll experience is essential Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work to deadlines and manage workloads effectively Confident using payroll systems and adapting to new software Team player with a proactive approach Must be able to pass a DBS check (employer funded) Immediate interviews are taking place, with a view for the successful Payroll Administrator candidate to start in October.
