A specialist SEN school in Durham is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support students aged 11–19 with autism and additional needs. Experience isn’t everything — the school values patience, consistency, and a positive attitude most.
What you’ll be doing:
* Providing support on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
* Helping students build life skills, confidence, and communication
* Supporting young people with autism and complex needs
* Working closely with a supportive and experienced SEN team
The ideal candidate will:
* Be caring, reliable, and proactive
* Have a willingness to learn new skills
* Have experience with young people in any setting (formal or informal)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
