Our client, a market leading, growing business that has developed a niche piece of software providing cutting-edge information and analysis services. The company aims to gain market dominance and become the first point of reference in this market. This is a full-time, office-based role in the UK.
Role
The Business Development Executive will support the implementation of the company's sales strategy in the UK and overseas. You will be expected to help generate appointments for product demonstrations and ensure existing clients are aware of other available products. There is potential for growth into a more technical sales role for the right candidate in the future.
Responsibilities
* Online research of potential clients, companies, and contacts.
* Engage with prospects by phone, email, or LinkedIn.
* Build a pipeline for sales.
* Explain the value of the product to set up meetings with qualified prospects.
* Handle objections from potential customers who may be using or considering a competitor.
* Establish and maintain relationships with customers to gain referrals and expand the customer base.
* Account expansion and retention activities including cross selling into new areas.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
* Confident selling in a proactive and consultative way.
* Able to make both cold and warm sales calls and attend online meetings via Teams.
* Negotiating terms and commitments from others.
* Exceeding targets for appointments and closed deals.
* Self-starter who is inquisitive and eager to learn.
* Multitasker who is organised with strong attention to detail.
* Interest in learning to sell complex technology products and future development.
Salary and Reward
* £28,000 - £30,000 depending on experience + OTE.
