Senior Quantity Surveyor – Major Civil Engineering Project

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering a flagship major infrastructure project in the Bridgwater area.

The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for a significant package of works, working closely with operational teams to ensure successful delivery.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Full commercial management from procurement through to agreement of final accounts
* Cost forecasting, reporting, and budget control
* Administration and management of subcontractor packages, valuations, and payments
* Identification and management of commercial and contractual risks
* Working collaboratively with project managers and site teams
* Supporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team
About You
To be considered, you will have:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor on civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities, or major construction projects
* Strong commercial acumen with a solid understanding of contracts (NEC experience highly desirable)
* Confidence managing multiple work packages and deadlines
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Chartered status (RICS / ICES / CIOB) or working towards chartership (desirable)
