Position Summary
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that production processes are executed efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards. This position involves close collaboration with engineering, operations, assembly, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless execution of manufacturing activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide daily supervision and coordination of production activities including PCBA, sub-assembly, final assembly, and testing.
* Manage and prioritise production schedules in collaboration with Operations and Business Development teams.
* Support New Product Introduction (NPI), prototyping, and continuous improvement initiatives in conjunction with engineering.
* Implement engineering changes and respond to design updates in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
* Maintain compliance with ISO 13485 and other applicable standards.
* Participate directly in production activities as required to support operational needs.
* Identify Design for Manufacture (DFM) opportunities and communicate recommendations to design teams.
* Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve process and quality issues.
* Assist with customer audits and quality system reviews.
* Maintain a safe and organised production environment, aligned with company values and regulatory requirements.
Candidate Profile
Experience and Skills:
* Demonstrable experience in electronics manufacturing, preferably within a contract electronics manufacturing (CEM/EMS) environment.
* Previous supervisory or senior operator experience within a production or manufacturing setting.
* Strong understanding of both surface-mount and through-hole assembly processes.
* able to interpret drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and manufacturing process documentation.
* Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving production issues.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
* Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems – experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is an advantage.
* Proven track record of working within ISO 13485 or similarly regulated environments desirable.
* Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple production orders concurrently.
