About the role:
We are seeking a motivated and analytical intern to support a strategic project focused on optimizing logistics processes linked to sterilization operations. This internship is ideal for someone with an interest in logistics, sustainability, operational excellence, and industrial process improvement.
The intern will play a key role in evaluating how logistics requirements—such as transportation, palletization, and storage—can be optimized without negatively impacting sterilization capacity or compliance requirements.
Your Main Tasks:
1. Process Analysis & MappingDocument the end‑to‑end logistics flow linked to sterilization, including pallet requirements, handling steps, and storage constraints.Conduct time, space, and cost analyses for different process segments.
2. Palletization & Transport OptimizationAnalyze the root causes and impact of pallet height differentials between sterilization requirements and logistics/transport limitations.Evaluate potential improvements such as alternative pallet configurations, load‑building methods, or packaging changes.
3. Sustainability AssessmentAssess how current logistics processes impact environmental KPIs (, CO₂ emissions, truck utilization, material waste).Propose solutions that support sustainability targets while preserving sterilization capacity.
4. Sterilization Capacity ConsiderationModel how proposed logistic changes impact sterilization throughput, cycle efficiency, and capacity planning.Work cross‑functionally with sterilization engineers and logistics teams.
5. Data Collection & ReportingCollect operational data (dimensions, volume, transport patterns, cycle times).Prepare clear reports, presentations, and recommendations for leadership.
6. Project SupportAssist with feasibility studies, pilot trials, and implementation planning.
About you:
7. Currently pursuing a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Sustainability, Operations Management, or related field.
8. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
9. Ability to work with data (Excel, Power BI or similar).
10. Interest in sustainability and operational efficiency.
11. Good communication and documentation skills.
12. Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
