Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated culinary professional to support the efficient operation of a high-standard kitchen environment. The role involves supervising the kitchen brigade, maintaining exceptional food quality, and contributing to the development of creative menus. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Chef, ensure smooth daily kitchen operations, and maintain the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and service expected in a luxury hospitality setting.


Responsibilities

* Manage the kitchen brigade and ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient running of kitchen operations.
* Support the development of creative menus and deliver high-quality culinary experiences.
* Ensure food preparation and presentation meet exceptional quality standards.
* Continuously strive for improvement in kitchen performance and service delivery.
* Communicate guest and team feedback to the Head Chef when necessary.
* Assist in various kitchen sections and support additional duties when required.
* Train, guide, and delegate tasks to junior kitchen team members.
* Handle daily ordering while considering stock usage, menu planning, and business levels.
* Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organisation, and proper stock control.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.


Requirements

* Strong passion for food and culinary excellence.
* Enthusiasm and willingness to learn and develop.
* Good kitchen and knife handling skills.
* Strong understanding of health & safety and food safety guidelines.
* Ability to work to the high standards required in a luxury establishment.
* Creativity, innovation, and strong attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure kitchen environment.
* Experience supervising and guiding junior team members.
* Tips typically exceeding £200 per month (approximately £2,400 per year).
