Procurement Specialist (Buyer)
Location: Daily work in the Office – UK Office in Aberdeen or Great Yarmouth.
It is a 12 months contract for a Procurement Specialist Role (+2 exp), starting from 12th January 2026.
As a Procurement Specialist, you will manage the buying process for a given set of goods and services. You will apply sourcing policy, interfacing between suppliers and the business with respect to specifications and budgets.
Responsibilities:
* Handling Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and contacting suppliers for competitive quotations.
* Placing and following up on Purchase Orders (PO) and managing supplier relationships for PO execution.
* Ensuring Ontime delivery of required Goods and Services and monitoring status.
* Detecting and signaling flaws in approaches, methods, procedures, and processes, and suggesting improvements.
* Taking care of contract negotiation and renovation and discussion with suppliers.
* Managing supplier relationships to understand the business, gather market intelligence, assess risk, and ensure compliance to KPIs.
* Handling communication with colleagues and the business about data gathering and analysis.
* Managing problems and scheduling changes.
* Reporting supplier performance and any non-Conformity cases.
* Processing and handling suppliers' invoices and any required rectification.
* Understanding the content of purchased items and preparing comparison tables to find the best value.
Required Qualifications:
* Minimum 2 years of experience gained in sourcing/buying/procurement.
* This work experience needs to be in the UK and include a good understanding of the UK work environment.
* A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Preferred: technical background).
* Fluency in English language (Other languages are a plus).
* Some experience or adequate training on Contracts/Agreement templates.
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills and an ability to build trusting relationships with customers and suppliers.
* Experience with SAP or Oracle is essential.
* Proven ability to lead procurement activities and bring them to decision-making.
* Ability to work independently and self-drive tasks and responsibilities.
