About the Role
The JCB Golf & Country Club, sits on a 240‑acre site adjacent to the multinational engineering and construction giant JCB. Set in the Staffordshire countryside, it boasts a 7308‑yard par 72 championship golf course and hosts both corporate members and guests, including an Annual Professional Championship. In 2026, we will host LIV GOLF UK – the sole event of its kind in the UK.
Our Golf Academy Team are the first faces golfers encounter. We are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking, and presentable individual with a golfing background to work alongside our current team and provide outstanding, world‑class member and guest services.
What does this role involve day to day?
* Welcome Members and Guests to the Golf Club and assist with any requests they may have.
* Operate a till system to process daily golf shop sales.
* Merchandise and replenish stock to ensure a world‑class retail presentation.
* Manage and organise a storeroom of shop stock, including receiving and monthly stock takes.
* Oversee the presentation of two coaching studios and one putting studio.
* Assist with Member & Guest Golf activities.
* Manage the practice facilities and buggy fleet.
* Be an integral part of delivering the Annual Professional Championship.
* Complete all health & safety training and inductions.
This will be suited to you if:
* You have a passion for developing a career in golf.
* Prior golf industry experience is desirable but not essential.
* You exhibit a welcoming, can‑do attitude to any request from members or guests.
* You take great pride in all that you do.
* You possess knowledge of retail operations.
* You have sufficient IT skills.
* You are always looking for opportunities to enhance the member and guest experience.
* You are presentable, punctual, well‑organised and enthusiastic.
* You are passionate about delivering high standards for our guests in line with the JCB Golf & Country Club brand.
* You handle feedback in a professional manner and respond well to tasks given.
* You have a broad knowledge of golf – including etiquette, various formats and local rules.
* Flexibility is crucial as the role will include weekend working hours.
* PGA qualified or trainee preferred, but not required.
