Position Details
Salary: from £53,204 to £61,301 pa inclusive, with potential to progress to £68,119 pa inclusive of London allowance.
This is a fixed-term appointment for 36 months, with potential extension beyond this period (subject to grant funding).
About CenTax
The Centre for the Analysis of Taxation (CenTax) aims to improve public understanding of tax policy and assist in designing better tax systems. Led by Dr Arun Advani (Warwick) and Dr Andy Summers (LSE), it produces rigorous quantitative evidence on tax, develops feasible reforms, and communicates findings to policy, media, and civil society.
Role Responsibilities
* Conduct high-profile policy research and collaborate with academic researchers.
* Produce research outputs and represent CenTax at external meetings and events.
* Engage extensively with government officials, media, tax professionals, and third sector organizations to influence policymaking.
Candidate Requirements
* Masters degree or equivalent in economics, public policy, public administration, or related social science.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience working with quantitative analysts on policy modeling or evaluation.
* Strong understanding of the UK tax system and policy evaluation skills.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences.
* Experience managing complex projects and working under pressure.
