Watling Street Primary School Apprentice School Administrator Location: Watling Street Primary School, Watling Street, Brownhills, WS8 7LW Accountable to: School Business Manager, Headteacher Contract: 30 hours a week (term time only), Fixed Term Salary: The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £7.55 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. AFTER completing their first year Apprentices will be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over. The minimum wage rates are £10.00 an hour for 18-20 year olds, £12.21 an hour for 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that is part of their apprenticeship. Our administrative team is an extremely important part of our school life, and we require a staff member who can support our education delivery through excellent administration. You will be working as part of a small but busy team and supported by the School Business Manager. You will be required to undertake Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship training which will include off job training in school over a 24 month period. Entry Requirements: Level 2 Apprenticeship qualification or equivalent, English and Maths (grade C or equivalent) if you do not have these qualifications you may be required to study towards Functional Skills. The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post.
